A burning hot meteorite enters the atmosphere and crashes into an ocean.
Software used: Autodesk Maya, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Maya
For this short, I followed a video by the Maya Learning Channel. Besides that, everything seen here was modelled by myself. It took a lot of trial and error to get the splash looking nice and epic. I did face several problems while making this. One of the major ones was trying to get the water from the splash to be transparent so that I can see the meteor enter the ocean. I still have little clue on how I solved it, but I found that if I do not exit the software after "getting the settings right", the water will always turn out fine.
